I think what you're saying is certainly logical and the straight forward conclusion. It should have been like DDT, leaded gasoline, and asbestos where people were eating this stuff up like candy because no one bothered or cared enough to think about the health risks. *By all means we as the players have the meta knowledge that ADAM base products have massive drawbacks and should be avoid like the plague, but the people of Columbia didn't know that. The potential to do some really neat world building with ADAM but instead I couldn't help to feel like they were little better than props in the background that primarily existed for the player's sake, rather than being an integral part of Columbia's living and breathing world. We get a few instances of very specialized enemies using them and that's pretty much it. The stuff can literally make you smarter, it can make you lose weight, it can make you taller, more handsome - or most importantly in Infinite's setting: it can let you change races! That alone should have been huge, the very implication should have thrown the prevalent theories of the time on race on their head. ![]() Like for sure, I can get how growing crow feathers out of your arm or having your hand look like glowing embers would be off putting to people, but that's not all that ADAM offers. In Columbia it feels like they made their grand debut and the city's society collectively shrugged. From the opening minutes of game your hit with how important they were and how shook society to it's very core. Using Rapture as an example, it was one thing to be able to use plasmids, but their prevalence in the in-game universe - the countless ads littering levels, the way people talked about them in their day to day lives via audio diaries, the entire areas of some levels that were devoted to their creation or marketing or sale made them feel so grounded in the game world. I just wish they felt more engrained in Columbia's society. How do I extract sounds/textures/models from the game? Is the Season Pass / Ultimate Rapture Edition worth it?
